Wedding Guest Shuttle in Orland Park: Coach Bus and Sprinter Options by Guest Count
Wedding Guest Shuttle in Orland Park: Coach Bus and Sprinter Options by Guest Count
Quick answer: A wedding guest shuttle in Orland Park is sized by how many guests will ride, not your total guest list. Use a 14-passenger Sprinter for up to about 14 riders, a 35-passenger coach for 15 to 35, and a 50 to 57-passenger coach for larger groups. Most weddings book two blocks: hotel to ceremony before the wedding and venue to hotel at the end of the night. Sprinters start at $180 per hour with a 2-hour minimum, and coaches from $450 per hour with a 3-hour minimum. Call (312) 446-7505 or get a free quote!

A guest shuttle is one of the most thoughtful things a couple can plan. Out-of-town guests do not have to find their way between a hotel, a church and a banquet hall they have never seen. Local guests can enjoy the reception without worrying about the drive home. And the couple knows everyone will arrive on time for the ceremony. The key is choosing the right size vehicle and the right schedule, so nobody waits and you do not pay for empty seats.

How Many Guests Will Ride?
Not every guest uses the shuttle. Local guests often drive, and some families leave early. Start by estimating your riders.
- Count guests in your hotel block. Out-of-town guests are the most likely to ride.
- Add local guests who plan to drink or prefer not to drive at night.
- Ask on your RSVP card or wedding website. A simple “Will you use the shuttle?” question gives you a real number.
- Add a small buffer of 10 to 15 percent for last-minute riders.
Wedding Guest Shuttle Options by Guest Count
| Expected riders | Recommended vehicle | Starting hourly rate | Minimum hours |
|---|---|---|---|
| Up to 14 | 14-passenger shuttle Sprinter | $180 | 2 |
| 15 to 28 | Two Sprinters, or one 35-passenger coach | $360 for two Sprinters, $450 for the coach | 2 or 3 |
| 29 to 35 | 35-passenger coach | $450 | 3 |
| 36 to 50 | 50-passenger coach | $550 | 3 |
| 51 to 57 | 54 or 57-passenger coach | $600 to $650 | 3 |
| 58 to 114 | Two coaches, or one coach running two loops | Quoted by schedule | 3 |
Final pricing varies with the date, hours and route. A chauffeur gratuity of 18 to 20 percent may be added unless already included in your quote, plus tolls and parking where they apply. See our pricing page and fleet.
Sprinter or coach?
| Factor | Sprinter | Coach bus |
|---|---|---|
| Capacity | Up to 14 | 35 to 57 |
| Venue access | Fits tight lots, long driveways and city streets | Needs room to turn and park |
| Boarding | Quick, with fewer steps | Takes longer for a full load |
| Best use | Smaller weddings, multiple hotels, flexible late runs | Large hotel blocks, one main pickup point |
Loops vs More Vehicles
When your rider count is larger than one vehicle, you have two choices.
- Run loops. One vehicle makes two or more trips between the hotel and the venue. This saves money when the hotel and venue are close, but guests on the second run arrive later.
- Add vehicles. Two vehicles leave at the same time, so everyone arrives together. This is the better choice before a ceremony, when timing is fixed.
Sample Guest Shuttle Schedule
This sample is for a 4:00 PM ceremony at a church, a reception at a banquet hall and a hotel block in Orland Park.
| Time | Shuttle run |
|---|---|
| 3:15 PM | Guests board at the hotel |
| 3:30 PM | Arrive at the church, 30 minutes before the ceremony |
| 5:00 PM | Church to the reception venue for cocktail hour |
| 5:30 PM | Shuttle released, first block ends (billed at the 3-hour coach minimum) |
| 10:00 PM | Early return run for families and older guests |
| 11:30 PM | Final return run at the end of the reception |
| Midnight | Second block ends (billed at the 3-hour coach minimum) |
One long block or two shorter blocks?
When there is a long gap between the cocktail hour and the end of the night, two shorter blocks usually cost less than keeping a vehicle all evening. For example, a 50-passenger coach booked for two 3-hour blocks is 6 hours at $550, or about $3,300 before gratuity. The same coach kept for a continuous 9-hour day would be about $4,950. If the ceremony and reception are at the same venue, you may only need the two hotel runs.

Planning Around Orland Park Venues and Hotels
- Choose one main pickup point. If guests are in more than one hotel, pick the largest as the main stop, or plan a Sprinter for the smaller hotel.
- Confirm venue access. Ask your venue where a coach can stop, turn and wait. Some halls and churches have tight lots or low-hanging trees.
- Allow for LaGrange Road traffic. Saturday afternoon traffic on LaGrange Road, 159th Street and near Orland Square can add time.
- Share a posted schedule. Put shuttle times on your wedding website, in welcome bags and on a sign at the hotel and venue.
- Name a shuttle contact. A planner, coordinator or trusted family member handles questions on the day.

Guests With Mobility Needs
Grandparents and older relatives are often the guests who benefit most from a shuttle. Tell us about any guests who use a walker, cane or wheelchair, or who have trouble with steps, so we can plan the right vehicle and boarding time. A Sprinter is often easier to board than a full-size coach. Schedule an early return run so older guests can leave when they are ready.
Out-of-Town Guests and Airport Transfers
Guests flying in for the wedding can be picked up at the airport and taken straight to the hotel. For groups arriving together, a Sprinter or coach can collect several guests at once. See our Midway limo service, O’Hare limo service and our guides to Midway group transportation and O’Hare group transportation.

Wedding Guest Shuttle FAQs
How do I know what size shuttle I need?
Estimate how many guests will ride, usually your hotel block plus local guests who prefer not to drive, then add a 10 to 15 percent buffer and match it to vehicle capacity.
How many guests fit in a wedding shuttle?
Our shuttle Sprinter carries 14, and our coach buses carry 35, 50, 51, 54 or 57 passengers.
How much does a wedding guest shuttle cost in Orland Park?
Sprinters start at $180 per hour with a 2-hour minimum, and coaches from $450 to $650 per hour with a 3-hour minimum. Gratuity, tolls and parking may be added.
Should I book a Sprinter or a coach bus?
A Sprinter suits up to 14 riders, tight venues and multiple hotels. A coach is better for large hotel blocks with one main pickup point.
Is it better to run loops or book more vehicles?
Book more vehicles before the ceremony, when everyone must arrive on time. Loops work well at the end of the night, when guests leave at different times.
How many hours should I book?
Most weddings book two blocks, one before the ceremony and one at the end of the night, often 3 hours each for a coach.
Can the shuttle make two return trips at night?
Yes. Many couples add an early return run for families and older guests and a final run at the end of the reception.
Can a coach bus fit at my venue?
Most venues can handle a coach, but check with your venue about where it can stop and turn. A Sprinter is a good choice for tight lots.
Can the shuttle pick up from more than one hotel?
Yes. We can add stops or use a Sprinter for a smaller second hotel. Extra stops add time to the schedule.
Can you help guests with mobility needs?
Tell us about guests with walkers, canes or wheelchairs when you book, so we can plan the right vehicle and boarding time.
How far ahead should I book a wedding shuttle?
About 6 to 12 months ahead, especially for Saturdays from May to October.
